Autobiographical information, chiefly concerning Jackson's activities as co-associate poet laureate (1974), co-poet laureate (1979-1983), and poet laureate (1983-1984) of North Dakota and her daily interests as a rural farm wife; correspondence with poet friends in the U.S., and editors of poetry publications (1939-1984), poetry societies, and patients at a leprosy hospital in the Philippines; mss. of poetry, including finalized poems and drafts; poetry publications (74 items, 1939-1984), containing her published work and newspaper poetry columns; taped interviews with Jackson and her husband; literary review by Jackson; awards and recognitions; pedigree information relating to the Holstein cattle herd raised by the Jacksons on their Walsh County, N.D., farm; photos; and other materials. Includes information pertaining to an outbreak of botulism in Grafton and the hardships endured during the depression.
